About Me

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) is a unique local governance set-up that provides possibilities for progressive interventions to advance meaningful youth participation, enhance access to educational and youth employment, and democratize delivery of social services for the youth sector. The creation of the SK provided an opportunity to the country's youth to have a platform where they can engage in local governance work. It allowed for the allocation of a portion of barangay funds for the implementation of youth-related projects and programs and it has given representation for the youth in higher local governance organs. The Sangguniang Kabataan is the youth council in the barangay and its members are elected from among the members of the Katipunan ng mga Kabataan, the basic unit of the SK.

Open Motocross 2010

This activity was sponsored by the SK Council in line for the festivity of their patron saint Sr. San Guillermo, this happened last February 2010.

Motocross is a form of motorcycle sport or all-terrain vehicle racing held on enclosed off road circuits. Motocross is derived from the French, and traces its origins to British scrambling competitions. The name "motocross" is a portmanteau derived from the words "Motorcycle" and "Cross Country". BMX, or bicycle motocross, is the equivalent sport for non-motorized dirt bikes.

This activity was jam-packed with fun. :))

Leadership Training Seminar

This activity was initiated in line with the Youth Day Celebration. This was participated by Youth Leaders from different Zones and Subdivisions in our Barangay. This activity was made possible by the SK Council in cooperation with the CID Office.

All leadership training seminars and leadership keynotes were customized to meet the organization's needs. Leadership keynotes can be scheduled according to your organization's needs.

Today, leaders were required to hire, train, and motivate a diverse work force. At the same time, they must manage continual change, increase productivity, communicate effectively, and ensure excellent customer services. Leaders do all these activities while also managing their own time and responsibilities.

This leadership training seminar was action-packed and filled with practical tools helped leaders create a more effective team. Throughout the sessions, activities helped the participants apply what they have learned. They also have valuable networking opportunities to help them learn from each other.
